Meet the Community Futures Team!
Kevin joined the corporation in 1997 as Business Analyst and in 2014 became the General Manager. Kevin works with business clients, oversees the activity and administration associated with the loan funds and the Self Employment Program Contract and coordinates staff and volunteers working on a variety of projects. Kevin is actively involved in the local squash club as a player and coach, and enjoys hiking, biking and camping.
Cindy joined the corporation in November 2013. She provides advisory services to clients who are applying for loans, planning a new business or expanding an existing one. Her duties involve loan security documentation, loan disbursements, collections and fund reporting. In her role as Coordinator for the Self Employment Program she provides business planning assistance to clients who qualify for the program. Cindy moved to Revelstoke with her family in 2007 to enjoy the lifestyle of a small town, and enjoys many of the outdoor pursuits that Revelstoke has to offer.
Brooke joined the corporation in June 2014 as Administrative Assistant. She provides administrative support to the General Manager and the Board of Directors. Administrative services are also provided under contract to the Economic Development Commission. She is also responsible for bookkeeping and corporate financial reports. Brooke loves gardening, baking and spending time with her family.
Community Economic Development Coordinator
Jamie joined the corporation in June 2018 as the Community Economic Development Coordinator. She provides assistance on a variety of community economic development projects. Her background includes work for Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development, as well as a degree in Tourism Management and Entrepreneurship from Thompson Rivers University. Originally from Kamloops, Jamie moved to Revelstoke in 2016. She’s a lover of strong coffee, sailboats and live music events.
Basin Business Advisor (BBA)
Roberta has been with Community Futures since 2007, working as the Self Employment Coordinator. In 2013 she transferred to the Community Futures of Central Kootenay to take on the position of the Northern Basin Business Advisor, and is based in the Revelstoke office. Roberta enjoys traveling, family and friends and has a love for nature. Her passion is helping people.
Lorraine and her family moved to Revelstoke in 1994 and joined the Community Futures and Chamber of Commerce team as the receptionist in 2014. She is originally from Vancouver and lived in Kelowna for a few years. Her background is in banking, internet based vacation rentals and accommodation. Since moving to Revelstoke Lorraine has volunteered with the Nordic Ski Club in the Jackrabbit Program, with Revelstoke Youth Soccer and held various positions on School District 19 Parent Advisory Committees.
