Promotions/Social Media/Poster Design
Organization: North Columbia Environmental Society
Volunteer Job Description: The North Columbia Environmental Society is launching its second year of the highly successful Hunting and Gathering Guru workshop series! Throughout the summer and fall we will be hosting workshops in and around town to teach some basic & intermediate skills in hunting, foraging, fishing, and food processing, so Revelstokians can go out and gather their own food, and feel good knowing where it came from.
We are now seeking volunteers to lend a hand with the project! Volunteers will be needed both in the time leading up to and during the workshops themselves, so if you want to get involved with the NCES, there are plenty of ways you can contribute.
Responsibilities for this position include:
– Designing posters
– Promoting on social media
– Helping produce content for the NCES website
In addition to being involved in an exciting project that brings sustainability and a unique environmental awareness into our community, we are going to offer admission to a FREE workshop for every three hours of volunteer work!
Date of Event or Ongoing: On-going, into October
Materials, skills, experience needed or other requirements: No experience necessary. Understanding of basic design programs and social media would be an asset for promotions position.
How to apply: If you feel you can share your skill set for the above position or in any other way, please feel free to contact the Program Coordinator Anna Maria Stone at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call/text 226-973-2270.
