Jr. Naturalist Program Volunteer – North Columbia Environmental Society

Number of Individuals Needed: 5

Volunteer Job Description: The Jr. Naturalist Program is a day camp for kids age 5-11 that encourages outdoor education, and inspires passion for environmental protection in Revelstoke’s youth. The program is organized and coordinated by the Program Coordinator, which answers to the NCES Executive Director. Her capacity for the program is for 12 participants per day, but with volunteer help, we are looking to open the program up to 20 participants per day. Volunteers are needed to help facilitate the program and keep an eye on participants.

Date of Event: March 19 – 23, 2018

Materials, skills, experience needed or other requirements: A background in child care is ideal, but not necessary.  A passion for environmental education, conservation of the natural environment, and sustainable living is an asset.
