Community Employee Housing Facility – Survey

In partnership with local organizations, Community Futures is exploring the viability of constructing a 100 unit Community Employee Housing Facility. The units would be fully furnished bachelor suites, with their own kitchen and bathroom. The end cost to the resident will be $1,000 per month, including rent, furnishing, utilities and high speed internet. There would also be gear/bike storage in the basement.

Building Description:

–        four story wood frame construction with concrete foundation
–        100 rental units fully furnished
–        50 parking stalls under building and 50 stalls at grade
–        Building quality and design similar to VEDA 800 building in Kelowna

We are seeking the feedback from front end workers of RMR, hospitality, accommodations and retail businesses, on the design and features of an employee housing facility to ensure that it is a safe and desirable place to live. Any input and feedback that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
